I recently bought the book but haven't actually read it yet. Now that I know that it's research heavy and convincing I might have to move it up my tbr pile.
So Dunbar's number still stands and is supported well in cross-cultural research?
I feel like I have heard it be heavily criticised in material I've read/heard/seen from other evolutionary theorists
You're right that there is a debate about the research and specifically the 150 friends number, most recently in spring 2021.
